Award winning producer & talent manager Daniel Sladek most recently executive produced the 2009 Emmy Award nominated "Best Movie" PRAYERS FOR BOBBY starring Sigourney Weaver. He was nominated for the Emmy Award as well as the Producers Guild of America Award and was the recipient of the 2010 GLAAD Award (with producing partners David Permut and Chris Taaffe). www.prayersforbobby.com He is currently developing several projects including a bio-pic of civil rights legend BAYARD RUSTIN and a wilderness survival film adapted from the novel NIGHT OF THE HOWLING DOGS by author Graham Salisbury, as well as Corinne Brown's epic Western novel MACGREGOR'S LANTERN. In 2006, he co-executive produced the independent film THANK HEAVEN starring Jenny McCarthy and Matt Keeslar.

Sladek created DSEC in 1998 as a consulting, development, production and talent representation company, managing a roster of artists including acclaimed director Jamie King (Britney Spears' Femme Fatale and Circus Tours; Rihanna's Loud and Last Girl on Earth Tours; Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson - The Immortal World Tour; Madonna's Sticky & Sweet, Confessions, Re-Invention and Drowned World Tours) and celebrity designer Ryan Brown (star of Bravo's Flipping Out and design expert on TLC's Spouse vs. House).

Over the years, Sladek has managed the careers of numerous notable artists including Marco Hofschneider (Europa, Europa), Tony Award nominees Adam Cooper (Swan Lake) and Ian Richardson (Gormanghast), Golden Globe nominated actor Doug McKeon (On Golden Pond), Academy Award nominee Ian Bannen (Waking Ned Devine), British horror legend Sir Christopher Lee (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings), William Bickley (creator and executive producer of Family Matters and Step by Step), Alexandra Paul (Baywatch, Dragnet) and actress Charlotte Rampling (The Verdict).

In 1994, Sladek partnered with Silvio Muraglia to form Cine Grande Corporation. Together, they developed, financed and produced motion pictures including: the 1999 Dimension Films release RUSSELL MULCAHY'S TALE OF THE MUMMY shot on location in Luxembourg and starring Jason Scott Lee, Louise Lombard, Christopher Lee, Gerald Butler, Shelley Duvall and Michael Lerner; the 1997 USA Pictures release SUB DOWN, also shot in Luxembourg starring Stephen Baldwin, Tom Conti, Gabrielle Anwar and Kevin Connolly (Story by Muraglia and Sladek); the 1996 HBO release SILENT TRIGGER lensed in Montreal under the direction of Russell Mulcahy and starring Dolph Lundgren; and the 1995 Dimension release HIDDEN ASSASSIN, shot on location in Prague and directed by Ted Kotcheff.

Prior to his Cine Grande partnership, Sladek served as Executive Vice President of Quinta Communications, USA where he was Executive in Charge of Production of Quinta's 1991 - 1993 programming slate: USA Networks' VOYAGE starring Rutger Hauer and Eric Roberts; USA Networks critically acclaimed NOBODY'S CHILDREN starring Ann Margret and Clive Owen; and Universal Pictures' FOREIGN STUDENT.

From 1987 to 1991, Sladek was Vice President of Creative & Administrative Affairs at Spectacor Films where he served as Executive in Charge of Production on HBO's WEDLOCK starring Rutger Hauer; Associate Producer of NBC's SHATTERED TRUST starring Melissa Gilbert; and Co-Producer of MAD AT THE MOON starring Mary Stuart Masterson. Over a period of four years, Sladek participated in the development and production of over a dozen television movies and mini- series including NBC's THE HIJACKING OF THE ACHILLE LAURO and NBC's mini-series THE GREAT ESCAPE II while also supervising in-house production deals and international distribution.

Sladek taught entertainment industry courses at the UCLA Film and Television Department's extension program for over a decade and is a member of the Producers Branch of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He studied film at the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a Producer Fellow of the American Film Institute.

In 1987, Sladek co-founded and was president of the high profile non-profit entertainment industry philanthropy Young Artists United, uniting celebrities and other entertainment industry professionals dedicated to helping teens nationwide. The organization was honored by President Ronald Reagan, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Rotary Clubs International, the International Broadcasting Association and numerous other organizations.

A lifelong political and social activist who has participated in countless philanthropic endeavors, Sladek was elected Student Union Representative-at-Large at the University of Colorado, Boulder; served as a Board Member of the Jewish National Fund of Los Angeles, served as Chair of the 2010 PFLAG / THE LA EVENT gala and served as Co-Chair of the 2004 Los Angeles Election Protection Benefit. In 2010, Sladek was the recipient of the PFLAG National Entertainment Industry Leadership Award and was profiled as one of the fifteen most involved leaders in the LGBT community by Frontiers Magazine.
